Our Mission

Divergent Health was established in December 2023 to address the gap in allied health support for neurodivergent adults and to offer a workplace that understands the divergent needs of our therapists.

We employ a team of trained professionals with real-life experience who are passionate advocates for disability. We provide a new approach to therapy because both our clients and our team reject the idea of being puzzle pieces. We believe that in celebrating these differences, they become the foundation of Divergent Health.

Deliver Therapy with Lived Experience

We are committed to providing therapy based on our deep understanding and lived experience with neurodiversity, offering genuine care that truly resonates with our clients.

Combat Allied Health Burnout Epidemic

We combat the growing burnout epidemic facing Allied Health professionals in Australia and champion a sustainable work environment that benefits our team and the clients they serve.

Our Approach

At the heart of our therapy practice lie three foundational pillars: Neurodiversity Affirmation, Evidence-Based Approaches, and Client-Led Therapy. These aren’t just guiding principles; they are the essence of our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all. Through these pillars, we aim to empower each individual, celebrate their unique strengths, and provide the most effective therapeutic support possible.

Neurodiversity-Affirming

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy recognises cognitive, behavioural, and perception differences as natural variations, not deficits, supporting clients in embracing their unique profiles.

Evidence-Based

Evidence-based therapy is an approach to healthcare that incorporates the best available research, clinical expertise, and individual preferences to guide treatment decisions.

Client-Led

Client-led care prioritises individuals’ voices in shaping their treatment and goals, empowering them as primary decision-makers while our therapy services adapt based on their feedback to celebrate neurodivergent identities.

Our Team

At Divergent Health, our team consists of fully qualified Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, and Speech Therapists. Each member brings unique expertise and a rich array of perspectives, united by a shared commitment to delivering exceptional care. We foster an environment where innovation and empathy drive outstanding therapeutic outcomes.
