Upeka Ranasinghe the Occupational Therapist

Upeka is a neurodivergent Occupational Therapist who provides support to both children and adults through play-based therapy, sensory-informed guidance, and strengths-focused interventions. She collaborates with individuals and families to help them build skills and confidence and to foster meaningful participation in various settings, including home, school, work, and the community.

As a first-generation South Asian immigrant, Upeka brings a rich cultural perspective to her practice, prioritising cultural humility and inclusive care to ensure that her clients feel understood, respected, and valued. She is deeply committed to celebrating individuality and respecting cultural diversity, while also emphasising consent, safety, and empowerment at every stage of therapy.

Her sessions are responsive and client-led, utilising play-based, practical strategies that are tailored to each person’s age, goals, and sensory preferences.
